A website is like a car. Leave it and it stops working for you.

• How long will it take to set up my care plan?

  Once you sign up and provide login credentials, I’ll have your plan set up within 1-2 business days. Everything from speed improvements to security will be addressed during on-boarding.

• Does monthly time roll over?

  Each plan reserves time in the schedule for you every month. Because that time is held for you whether or not it’s used, it doesn’t carry over.

  Requests are picked up within 24 hours, or faster on higher plans.

  The Platinum plan allows for the 5 hour time to include immediate phone support within office hours.

• Do you manage WooCommerce websites?

  Yes. I’ve been building and looking after WooCommerce shops since 2012. Shops need more careful updates than brochure sites, so changes are tested first, and checkout, payments and order emails are checked afterwards, so problems are caught before your customers find them.

• What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc.?

  Care plans are designed to stop problems before they start, but if something does go wrong, it gets fixed.

  That covers repairing the site, restoring it from a recent backup, or dealing with your hosting company on your behalf, so you’re not stuck on hold.

  No one can honestly promise a site will never be hacked, but everything reasonable is done to prevent it. If the worst happens, cleanup and restoration are part of the service.

• What if I need more support time/hours?

  If you have an enhancement or task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time,  a quote will be submitted for you to approve separately from your plan. Requests that exceed your time will be evaluated on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at my current support rate of £50/hour.

• Can I really cancel any time?

  Yes. There’s no lock-in. Email to cancel and no further payments will be taken.

  Your plan includes hosting, so before cancelling, make sure your site has somewhere to go or it will go offline when the plan ends.

  You can have your site moved to a new host for a set fee, or take a full copy of your website files and database free of charge and move it yourself.

• My website was not built by Baltic Design. Can I still be on a website care plan??

  Yes. Every site starts with a one-off Website Evaluation & Tune-up, so there are no surprises later.

  That covers a full backup, all the updates and checks from the care plans, a look at how the site was built, and fixes for any urgent problems found.

  You’ll get a clear list of anything that needs sorting before it moves onto a monthly plan, plus suggestions for improvement. The evaluation is a fixed fee equal to four hours’ work, whatever the size of your site.

• I have more than one website. Do you offer a discount for multiple sites?

  If you have more than one website and you are on the Gold Care Plan or higher, you can add an additional website to your Website Care Plan for £100/month and share your plan’s support time between your sites.
