Hollinside Construction
Client: Nathan McLeod
Website + Growth
A North East builder repositioned for premium renovation work. New website, a steady run of genuine enquiries, and no ad spend.
FROM ANY JOB TO THE RIGHT JOB
Situation
A GOOD BUILDER, WRONG AUDIENCE
Hollinside Construction had over 100 reviews and decades of combined experience, but a website that said the same thing on every page and pitched to landlords and small repair jobs.
Challenge
FEWER, BETTER ENQUIRIES
Nathan wanted kitchens, bathrooms, extensions and full renovations for homeowners in areas like Jesmond, Gosforth and Tynemouth. Not more enquiries for the sake of it. Better ones, without paying for ads.
Solution
REBUILD, THEN KEEP WORKING
I rebuilt the site around four core services, rewrote every page for homeowners, then took on the whole web presence each month: search visibility, Google Business Profile, blog and social.
Rising TRAFFIC, SERIOUS ENQUIRIES
The new site went live in April 2026. I stripped out the services that no longer fitted, wrote a dedicated page for each of the four core services (including an extensions page that hadn’t existed before) and rewrote the copy to speak to homeowners planning a significant project.
From May I’ve looked after everything in one monthly arrangement: hosting and maintenance, local search and Google Business Profile, two to four locally researched articles a month on costs, planning permission and what to expect, and regular Facebook and Instagram posts.
Between June and mid-September the site produced 26 genuine enquiries. Going by the budgets those customers gave, that’s over £500,000 of potential work. The enquiries are the kind Nathan wanted: extensions, structural knock-throughs, whole-house renovations.
This isn’t a high-traffic website. Around one in eight visitors gets in touch, because the people arriving are the right people. Facebook post views more than tripled over the same period.

THE ENQUIRY FORM
Most builders’ contact forms ask for a name and a message. Hollinside’s asks what the project is, where it is, and roughly what the budget is.
That one question changed the conversations. Nathan knows before he picks up the phone whether he’s looking at a £15k bathroom or a £100k extension, and every enquiry arrives with enough detail to decide whether it’s worth a site visit.
